Pleasant! Verified by a calibrated standard within specifications. Small, light and fully equipped. The only downside is that the plastic body of the device is a bit light. However, with a little care and attention, it should provide many years of faithful service.

Neat little instrument, sensitive to low DC noise.

DC readings are sensitive to false noise in the engine compartment, even when the engine is off. It does many things well for a practical VOM and more. A nice little tool for the price.

No ohmmeter, was disappointed

The meter works as advertised but I didn't realize it didn't measure resistance. The Om symbol and other symbols led me to believe that it was.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Excellent meter: Multitester

This little meter is excellent. The DC function works well and is extremely useful when you want to measure DC current without cutting any wires. The fit seems to be very good. All functions work well. One helpful thing they don't mention is that the ZERO function can be combined with functions other than a DC ammeter, such as: B. an ohmmeter, seems to work. This is very useful for measuring low resistance values. Very good clear display and nice compact size.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Good gauge for troubleshooting small circuits

This is a great shop troubleshooting tool. This is not sufficient for an industrial calibration. I bought this for the DC clamp function, which reads at 1mA resolution. I have many other test tools, but I need a DC clamp meter that I can use to troubleshoot small circuits. I believe the "zero" function only resets the reading to just under 10 counts, but that's fine; it simply indicates good Hall sensor sensitivity.

  • Handsfree

The parasitic drawing test failed.

Don't try to use it for the wrong character test. This meter is anything but stable at 1A. The readings fluctuated so much that you had to chase your tail to find the amp's boost, which isn't even there. Compared to the Amazond the other tech had. I work in the automotive industry as a technician and am looking for something inexpensive to test. You won't find this testing tool here. The test leads were fine and the voltage test was the same. So if you are looking for a cheap multimeter, get…

Good value for money - electrical

This is a good value for a DC clamp meter. It's small enough to fit in the glove box. Alligator clips aren't very good because they don't screw onto the probe tips. Otherwise there are no complaints. Note that the DC sensor must be zeroed for each measurement. For example, to measure stray/phantom current in a car, you must first disconnect the battery terminal to null the current. It reads up to 1mA, but it's difficult to get accuracy above 10mA because Hall Effect sensors are very sensitive…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Null

What you need to know in Multitester

1st was sent back. 2. from another seller. Alligator clips don't screw on like most. The ends are simply crimped where the test lead is attached. Gets sloppy after a few uses. The test leads to the meter only have about 1/8 inch actual connection between the ends of the jack. 1st gave me intermittent readings of zero - not good. Clampfor DC amps seem to be pretty accurate. This is the main purpose I bought this automotive work gauge for. I bought another DC electricity meter that is much better

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Very handy little device

I have two such chic devices in the same price range. I use them for ammeter function. Haven't tested the voltmeter yet - I have a good fluke for that. But of the two devices I have, I like this one better. Why? - Automatic range selection. Other devices must select the range manually. Maybe manual selection is somehow more accurate or better, I don't know. However, automatic selection is more convenient. It remembers your settings. Other types automatically turn on the AC setting, so when you…
