Intended to be welded to a 20A 120 volt circuit breaker. He didn't turn off the switch, but he couldn't fire the arc all the time. The best you can do is weld the stick to the steel. Only a few times did I get it to bow. I ended up making a weld about 1/4" thick using a 3/32 7018 rod that had the correct threading. The rest of the time it was a mess. I haven't even tried a 1/8 stick of 7018 ,most of the time the stick is just welded to the steel so you can't remove it from the steel. All he could do was bend the stick and ruin it.I have welding experience and had high hopes for this machine,I send them back It won't even strike an arc with 190 amps installed on the welder.
