I installed it on my dashboard for 5 months. During that time I had to change the adhesive twice as the adhesive pad detached from the base of the mount and my phone sagged to the bottom. The adhesive was left on my dash so I know it was applied correctly. After the second adhesive pad failed, I used a different adhesive that held up well. However, now the hinge is worn out and no longer holds my phone in the correct position. I've tightened the hinge as tight as possible with a vise but it still doesn't work and makes my phone droop. I will buy another one because I tried others but they didn't work where I wanted to mount and position my phone. on the dashboard. To avoid the problems I'm having, when installing I use new glue that I know works and also glue the pivot in the desired position. FYI - my iPhone 7 Plus is in an Otter Box Defender case.
