Review on Kreg Tool Company SML-C2X250-125 Heavy-Duty Pocket Hole Screws - Pack of 125 by Kevin Griffin

These screws are the HD version of the Kreg HD mount. When working with wood > 2x4 I recommend them. They are much larger and have more threads to connect to the wood. This is a huge improvement compared to regular blue coated Kreg screws. My only concern was the price. This increases the stability of the project, but also increases the overall cost of the project. I ended up shaking my head and paying them as I was building a 4x4 table and wanted them to be as strong as possible for as long as possible. The blue screws may have worked, but I'm pretty sure I used the recommended screws for the job. Also, I hope the table will stay together forever so my kids can take it when we're done. Kreg products are always great. 4/5 stars because of the price.
