Review on Slim Two Smart Self Cleaning Oscillating by Jair Baltrusch

We bought two of these seats, one for each of our bathrooms. Both failed in less than a year while under warranty. They were repaired, but one failed again after seven uses. The other doesn't. So we sent it in for the second repair. It worked for a while and then stopped, but unplugging and leaving overnight seemed to fix it at that point. Then of course it went out again, but of course the guarantee was no longer valid at that point. When running, the pressure (on the strongest setting) is much less than other brands we've had in the past. This is the third brand of seats we've had (can't remember the last brand but I think our first was Brondell?) Both of the other brands we used had much better pressure. The pressure was fine. The look of the seat is pretty nice, but the lid isn't strong enough to hold a weight. So if you occasionally sit on the toilet with the seat cover down (like I usually do when I'm giving my kids a haircut or my epilation or waxing machine etc.) this seat design makes that impossible. We are a family of 6 so maybe 6 cigarette butts is too much for this seat, I don't know. What I do know for sure is that my husband is very angry that he spent about $200 on a seat only to end up with a non-working bidet seat after 2 years. Other brands we have used consistently have lasted over 5 years. It seems more like 1 year - 1.5 years. It was a little cheaper than the last two models we've used, but not by much, so I expect them to last almost as long. The company said they stopped working due to hard water build up although our water is soft, they also suggested it might be a reverse osmosis system but we don't have one either so I don't know what the problem is is . If you decide to buy this and you have some water hardness, you'd better buy an extra water filter ($20 extra) just to be sure, and it needs to be replaced every 3 months. The last place we had was with the filter on, but theirs is optional. You may not want to buy this if you have a reverse osmosis system. As they don't last very long and the print quality is worse than our other previous seats, I can't recommend them.
