My 14 year old got a longboard from Landshark for Christmas a year ago. It was his first proper skateboard, so he landed on the ground a few hundred times while learning to ride. Lucky for us we got the original as a $20 Black Friday special at Lowe's. When it finally fell apart beyond repair and I saw that I would have to pay over $90 to replace it, I cooked on it all day but broke it and bought it. My 14 year old loves this board. As a 40-year-old mom, I will admit that I tried surfboarding just to try it. An epic first ride disaster but admittedly it's the smoothest board I've ever ridden. I got back in after my epic spill, and after learning the basic disassembly procedures, I began to enjoy stealing it from my kid from time to time for a quick run around the neighborhood in my bunny slippers. I would like to mention that you could invest in better shoes than I picked.
