I was previously trying to find out if this product would work in my configuration. According to Intel, only Intel SSDs work. But other SSDs may work. However, you may need a hardware key. You may also not need a hardware key. Asus says you will definitely need a hardware key. but this other guy didn't need him. Nobody says which hardware key you need. why can't they be bought from regular sellers? just random third parties. Maybe you can do without the key, but limit yourself to Raid 0. Do all Intel NVMes work with it? haha, of course not. I mean they can. whether 660p works (this is a common thing). Well, it's not on the list of supported drives. What's on the list? o weird discs you've never heard of or can't even buy. So what are you doing? Buy it and rely on the return policy. My Asus X299 is the best motherboard as it recognizes the card and the two 970 evo plus drives I put in it. I enabled vroc for PCIe slot. in the bios could not configure the raid. it said that the drives are incompatible. But I could set up RAID 0 using the Intel Vroc Desktop Service (after booting from my existing OS drive). did some speed tests: very fast. 6500 read, 6500 write. What I don't understand is how fast the writing is, I probably misconfigured the crystal label. oh wait what is this? Intel vroc software says my volume is bootable? Relax! Create some installation media, install vroc driver from it, install windows on raid volume 0. Boot error. The BIOS cannot find the RAID volume to boot from even after the installation media successfully found it. I think it was unbootable, so it can work as an unbootable disk. for 90 days. Yes, 90 days. This is the duration of the vroc desktop service trial. What happens in 90 days? he won't tell. Intel and Asus make it clear that there are no promises with this product. but the fact that it costs $60 when the NVME raid controller card costs $300-500 is hopeful. So, roll the dice, and if that doesn't work, bring it back. and the next time you build a computer you can take a closer look at amd.oh and the fan had a very annoying chirping.
