Review on πŸ’₯ Enhanced Performance with KYB 344381 Excel-G Gas Shock - Black and Silver by Brandon Henry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Adapted directly to a 1999 ls400

I replaced the stock shock absorbers on my ls400 with 235,000 miles on it. Made in Japan and looks very high quality. I replaced them along with a complete front suspension overhaul. Some have complained that they are stiffer than stock and I agree that they are stiffer but by no means uncomfortable (or even remotely "sporty"). Also, I'm comparing them to shocks that have done 235,000 miles, so maybe they have the same stiffness as the originals when they were new? Given the price, quality, and other options available, I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. I bought KYBs for my Yukon based on how good they are.

Pros
  • Uses a seamless slave cylinder in combination with a teflon coated piston band for reliable sealing and longer life
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
