We've moved to a state where a faceplate is required. I have a custom bumper and winch on my Jeep JK so I was looking for something clean and with winch capability. This product works well and is a very strong piece of steel (it's not light or flimsy). My only complaint is that the portion that goes under the fairleads of the fairleads is a small loop and the winch hook doesn't go through. I didn't want to remove all of the winch cable, so I just cut out a cutout at the bottom (it's hidden under the fairlead). No big deal, it still works great.
