Review on ๐Ÿ›ถ Kayalu Kayalite Portable LED Kayak Light - Bright White for Enhanced Visibility by Max Rosengren

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Specially designed for kayaking - waterproof, bright and durable

Certainly not a cheap flashlight but it's definitely worth increasing your budget to get this premium flashlight compared to what's on the Market is available to buy. . It is very easy to assemble by snapping a carabiner onto any deck line and tightening. I ended up intentionally running a strand of Dyneema rope between the two existing grommets to center the Kayalite behind my seat and in front of my handlebars. This light is not intended to illuminate your surroundings, but to draw the attention of others to you, but it still casts a powerful light on the deck of my tandem seat kayak and on the back of the person sitting in front of me. Some worry it might not be high enough for a 360 degree view as your body can hide it, especially on seat kayaks. In my case with the sit kayak my head blocks the light a bit towards the bow as it is mounted behind me although I don't have much of a problem with that as I have an extra red/green Tektite Navlite. And because my kayak is so close to the water, it's easier to see the light when it's on high ground - like other larger powerboats and sailboats. Battery operated, easy to assemble, waterproof and easily toggled between on and off with the simple flick of a bulb, this light is perfect for my needs as I kayak in somewhat congested coastal waters and the occasional ocean.
