Review on Walts Large Extra Mount Compatible by Ken Reiff

I have mixed feelings about this TV mount

I am using this TV mount to mount a 77 inch LG OLED TV. This is a $3,500 TV including taxes. I used to have it on a $20 Everstone TV mount I got from Revain. However, this wall mount allows the back of the TV to be more tightly fitted to the wall and that is where the problem with this TV mount lies. If you choose this TV mount, just note that you need to adjust both sides to your desired viewing height before installing it. With my previous TV mount, I was able to reach the TV and turn the knob to tighten it once I settled on the TV tilt I wanted. When I tried this with this mount, I couldn't turn this knob to get it to the angled position I wanted. So I had to take the TV off its brackets and set it on the floor, then tighten those brackets on either side so the tilt of the TV was flush with the wall. I didn't want the TV to tilt down like it's mounted by default. So we had to detach the TV, tighten both sides to align the TV on the wall, and then reattach it to the wall. Another problem is that the bottom latches don't engage and automatically snap into place, you have to pull the lever down and lock them in the bottom of the mount. But those two issues aside, the mount is a really good mount and gives you a more comfortable mount that sits flush with your TV. I really don't know if it's worth deducting a star because I have to detach the TV and provide a tilt angle with the TV on the floor, but I deducted one anyway. And this is where I'm torn, because I like the TV mount after hanging it on the wall. It's frustrating and I wish I had known that sooner. So I hope my review helps someone, but I would definitely recommend a TV mount.
