I was very happy to receive this, I opened the box and there was a major crack on the board (can cause splinters) but I thought it was so beautiful and maybe will it even that after some use. I only hand wash, buy mineral oil and follow the care instructions that come with it. I'll take care of it like I'll have it for years to come. I roast the pork tenderloin and let it rest on the board before slicing and serving. I wash the board, hand wash and wipe dry. Now I can see the discolouration of the finish and it has become even rougher. I no longer want to use this board because I'm afraid of splinters, abrasions or even wood particles in my food. Really disappointing, nice board but save that for a kitchen that doesn't see much use.
