There are no instructions for this device, and I figured out how to use it for a long time. All three of my ATtiny85s forget their passcode after disconnecting from the USB. Your uploaded bootloader is corrupt. It is not USB enabled. I almost return it. One solution is to use an Arduino to write a bootloader on it, and then write code to this ATtiny85 device via an Arduino Uno/nano. You can search for the solution "How to program ATtiny85 with Arduino 20191105". It works like this for me. See the attached image for a programming example. I give one star because there are NO instructions. And most of the instructions you can find online, even if they look the same, will NOT work with this device. These devices will work if you know how to write a new bootloader for them (as well as for the ATiny85 chip itself). If you know how to do this, you should buy this item for your project. Much luck!
