Doesn't save downloaded program

Installing drivers was easier than I expected and I was able to load my programs and they worked as long as the board was plugged in after boot. After removing and reconnecting the board, the programs stopped working.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • expensive

Works best in computers and accessories

I had no problems getting it set up and running. You MUST use a "special" IDE - the regular Arduino IDE just doesn't work with this little guy. I'm a software developer with 30 years of experience, so bear that in mind. The setup isn't exactly plug-n-play. Unless you are experienced with drivers and open source software, I strongly recommend getting a "regular" Arduino, not this one.

  • Unsure

Works perfectly. Best Single Board Computer

These boards are different from regular Arduino boards. You are actually telling the Arduino IDE to load the program before you connect them. The software then prompts you to connect the device, after which the program is immediately available for download. This is because the board only programs for a few seconds right after you turn it on, then does what it was programmed to do and doesn't stop programming until you unplug it and plug it back in at the right time. Time.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Useless Features

None of them worked

All 3 allowed me to upload the sketch (LED blinking) but all lost it after disconnecting from USB. Unfortunately none of them work. I buy them from different sellers at different prices and my current success rate of getting a good one is 25% (first order was 2 out of 5 good, this one had none out of 3). I wish they had done more. Quality control or improved design because when they work they are great for miniaturizing projects. It's disappointing that they don't come out of the boxโ€ฆ

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Almost never

Common issues with forgetting the sketch/loader loop

Two of my three boards failed to program at all, the power LED was on but they didn't work. t is defined by Arduino IDE or device manager. One of the boards was found and I was able to upload a sketch to it, the sketch worked as long as the board was plugged in after programming. After power cycling the board, the sketch doesn't run. Either the sketch was forgotten or the bootloader got stuck, I'm not sure. The seller refunded the money for the purchase with no problems, and I ordered anotherโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings, it's fine

These are pretty cool mini boards! I followed Digispark's instructions and everything worked as expected on Win10. However, one of my three boards was DOA. The price is low enough, I can only get some extra accessories, but consider what you want. Please note that there are technical differences to the full size Arduino. From my experience with them, the output current is lower (even though the datasheet says it's the same?). Also, some Arduino libraries don't work or compile, e.g. B.Servoโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Hard to say

This is NOT USB enabled. Need a new bootloader.

There are no instructions for this device, and I figured out how to use it for a long time. All three of my ATtiny85s forget their passcode after disconnecting from the USB. Your uploaded bootloader is corrupt. It is not USB enabled. I almost return it. One solution is to use an Arduino to write a bootloader on it, and then write code to this ATtiny85 device via an Arduino Uno/nano. You can search for the solution "How to program ATtiny85 with Arduino 20191105". It works like this for me. Seeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions

  • High price
