Review on AVerMedia EZMaker 7 USB Video Capture Card: Convert RCA Composite, VHS to DVD with S-Video | Cyberlink Media Suite Software Included | Windows 10 Support (C039) by Stanislaw Mlekodaj ᠌

I want my money back! Disgusting product and poor quality.

Is there any way to make the Cyberlink power director software capture mono audio? Does Rombica also have a maximum device resolution of 720*480? If you want to capture 50 fields per second from VHS, should the device resolution be set to 720*288 or 720*480? Will the quality of the capture be better if the video is first routed from VHS to a modern TV over a composite cable, and the video is captured from the TV over an S-Video cable?

Pros
  • There is a USB extension. Cyberlink power director 14 DE licensed software.
Cons
  • The brief instructions say that there should be not only Cyberlink power director software, but also Cyberlink power producer software, but it is nowhere to be found, neither on the site, nor in the kit. The full manual generally describes only the AVerStudio software, which is nowhere to be found, either on the site or in the kit. The Cyberlink power director software intermittently gives an error that the device was disconnected, however, it was not disconnected. Cyberlink power director software shows that the maximum resolution of the device is 720*480. It is not possible to select a device resolution of 720*576. There is no way to capture only mono sound (after all, 95% of VCRs and VHS cameras are mono!), it captures only stereo, while the right channel remains silent, that is, during playback, the sound will be only in the left dynamo, and there will be no sound in the right. Moreover, this device is three times more expensive than Rombica Pro Studio!
