Read this before you trade for a 2013 Kia!

This item is sold separately; However, if you are not a master, consider purchasing the entire driveshaft with this part pre-installed. The rear driveshaft and constant velocity joint (to which it is attached with heat shrink tubing) form one unit! did you receive it? ONE PIECE. It is necessary to remove the rear driveshaft from the fork and the CV joint from the front CV joint fork. Then remove the snap ring from the end of the constant velocity joint shaft and use a 3-jaw puller to remove the constant velocity joint. Then cut the rubber off the center bearing and remove the aluminum support from the shaft. You now have a bearing housing, a small rubber band and a seat ring. The seat ring must be removed first! You can try the puller with a slide hammer, or heat it up and hit it with a chisel. Much luck. After removing these, you must do the same for the warehouse; Push the hammer and puller again, or heat and tap, but if you live in a salty environment you should just break off the cutting wheel and cut off the outer ring. Remove the ball joint, then heat the inner ring and machine it with a 360 degree punch. Once this is removed you can clean the seats with 400 grit sandpaper and install the new center support. You should definitely heat it (on YouTube how to heat a bearing) since it has rubber and you don't want to use a flame. Installation is the reverse of removal. Pay attention to which direction the center support is pointing when you mount the new one! Hope this helps someone.
