When preparing food, especially raw meat, I try to keep one hand clean to be able to process the spices. It doesn't help when most pepper mills are two-handed. This meat grinder solves that problem. Stop washing your hands two or three times just to flavor your food. It's a little tricky to operate with one hand, but anyone with a little coordination shouldn't have a problem. It was expensive, three times more expensive than most coffee grinders, but I think it was worth it.
