I bought these as clamps for the 5.00mm shaft I have in the project. I understand why they are sold as drill stops and not clamps, they are just over 5.00mm. So they are good for the advertised purpose. But if you want tight tolerances, no. I kept them and will be using them as retaining rings for my drill bits, exactly what they were made for, but the rings must be somewhere else. If you need clamps for 5.00mm diameter shafts they're not for you, but if you need drill stops they certainly work.
