I bought 2 new knives and this sharpener makes them very sharp (cuts paper sharp). The first one I got (from another seller) had poorly drilled holes for the sharpening rod so I returned it. Others have complained about this defect. Everything was drilled correctly this time. Very easy to use and I mostly use thin ceramic sticks. But if a tiny groove forms on the edge, I use diamond sharpening rods first. I've tried using a classic sharpening stone, but it takes a lot of skill. It works without skill. It has pre-drilled slots for 20 and 25 degree angles. I drilled my own holes at 15 degrees using a drill press and iPhone to get the right angle. I want them to include pre-drilled 15 degree corners.
