DEFECTIVE CHARACTER - STOPS OVER TIME, SEPARATES WHEN TIGHTENED!

The title of my review speaks for itself. I've ridden 200 miles on two of my bikes that each had a top cap installed. Both bikes had stem wobble and looseness that occurred over a 45 day period, 200 miles on each bike, 3 rides a week on each bike. I ride fire road and restricted singletrack in the Washington state mountains, moving down the cliff at about 30 mph, but mostly in standard fire road conditions. I don't do tricks, jumps and jumps; My wheels stay fairly grounded, except for hitting 3-6 inch bumps in the road due to lying rock, averaging 12-15 mph. Now my bikes are no longer rideable. I'm waiting for the traditional star nuts and tools to restore my already restored bikes. A total waste of money and time buying this FSA crap. WHY IS THIS PRODUCT NOT MANUFACTURED? - Because the FSA has dropped in price and made the top cover almost pure aluminum; This cap compresses the fork and steerer tube which requires the correct amount of torque just removing the cap. A GREAT DESIGN BROKEN UP BY POOR CHOICE OF CAP MATERIAL.
