I'm a nut fanatic and have quite a few. Small desktop/bench fans, HUGE fans for my shop, carpet fans, floor fans. You name it and I probably bought one. But THAT is something completely different! Second gear is about twice as loud, but it's well built so there's no squeaks or rattles, just a nice tight rumble. The third speed is comparable to fans that are two or three times the size and are on the highest speed. You won't be talking about 3rd speed, at this point you need to make sure everything is securely fastened to the countertops. If you have paper or junk lying around, you'll find them quickly!
