It went in fairly easily but think twice before trying to pull it out. Sticking it in a piece of cake, but removing it will be tricky, so make sure that's what you want. This one was hard plastic, the one we took off was soft. I like this one more because if you spill something you can just wipe it off and the soft will just soak it all up. The truck had a gray interior and this one has a tan but it looks nice. For my son who is hard on his car and the dogs he brings with him I think this will work very well for him.
