Something must have changed

I have owned this product for so long that the part number has changed so I am not considered a verified customer. They may have changed the product but I don't see any difference. I made two decks with this system. One in 2012 and one in 2019 (photo). Not sure if anything has changed about the screws, but my perception of this product has changed from recommending it to everyone who has asked to regret that I have ever used it. We sold the house in 2016 but the terrace was perfect. So when it came time to build the deck in my workshop, I was glad I had an oregano template, about 300 leftover screws, and plenty of spacers. To be honest, the screws have changed a bit in my opinion, because the small cutout I made initially fits perfectly, but the board is starting to curl a lot - both in the deck area and along the edge. I've looked for possible causes, but mostly the boards behave as if there were no screws. A few screws that I had to drive into the flat part of the deck due to the higher adjacent walls are still attached to the frame and the board twists, which keeps the screw in place. Others where the screws are installed with a bracket are screwed in and the screws go with the board. Very disappointed that the price of the wood to touch up these stains is about triple what I paid for it a few years ago.
