The problem with a water sensor that is not functioning properly can be fixed by placing a piece of food foil on the left contact of the sensor. Once this is done, the issue should be resolved. Some pros: The mode of evaporating water residues if there is little left over, a beautiful and minimalistic design, a screen with basic information, the ability to pour water through the top grill, it being convenient to remove and clean the container with water and the drum, integration into the Xiaomi and eco-systems, and the mode of evaporating water residues if there isn't much water left over. Various disadvantages: It is not evident how to clean the drum under the grate, which is where air is taken in. After some time, the water sensor started giving inconsistent readings; one remedy helped (I write about it in the comments and include a photo of it).
