Review on Bissell 1699 7901 7920 8905 by Michael Starr

This is an OEM part and works perfectly. However, it turned out that this is not my problem and I am writing this to maybe help someone else. After cleaning the carpet on my stairs where I had used Proheat Auxiliary the cleaner worked perfectly. About a week later I decided to clean the carpet in the living room. Neither the auxiliary brush nor the base unit spattered. After some annoying time dismantling the device including the water heater, I decided that the water pump was to blame. After installation no joy. It turned out that at the same time the spray nozzles on the accessories and the base cabinet were clogged. Removed them and repaired the block. Thoroughly clean spray nozzles and open water heater to remove debris before ordering replacement parts. These little units are really quite simple and easy to fix if you use your head and start from simple fixes and work your way up (contrary to what I did this time). I hope I have helped someone. Another suggestion: Using distilled water can probably avoid the problems associated with mineral deposits clogging the jets.
