Bissell 1699 7901 7920 8905 Review

The pump didn't fix the carpet cleaner, something else is wrong with it. So I bought a new carpet cleaner. One day when I'm in the right mood I'll come back to it, I'll fix it, if it can be fixed, that's just me.

Be sure to check everything else before considering replacing this pump. I think my problem after replacing a worn belt was that the water tank was not seated properly. This pump works well and was inexpensive. Pretty much only one place on Revain sold it lol.

After reading the previous reviews I decided the problem with my Bissell Clearview was the pump. I put new belts on and cleaned all the hoses and the heater but the water still wasn't splashing. I installed a new pump and everything is working fine again. It wasn't difficult at all, just 4 screws to undo the old one and put the new one in. A great and easy way to keep my old carpet cleaner going. Thank you for the spare part provided, it is much cheaper than buying a new car.

Had to order this part to replace my original because somehow a little wire wound around the metal teeth and wore them down without realizing it until I noticed my whisk brush wasn't spinning at first. Thought it was my belt because my belt was worn out but then when I saw the part without the metal teeth I ordered the part shipped very quickly took the old one out and put the new one in oh my god it's like a new steam cleaner. always new pump new belt works great! 😁

Like many others I needed a complete pump although the only broken part of my original pump was the plastic gear at the very end. I'm not sure why Bissell didn't make this part available separately but this seller gave me a great price for the entire unit and assembly was very easy after watching one of the many instructional videos online. This is an OEM part and works perfectly. However, it turned out that this is not my problem and I am writing this to maybe help someone else. After cleaning the carpet on my stairs where I had used Proheat Auxiliary the cleaner worked perfectly. About a week later I decided to clean the carpet in the living room. I've had a hard time even diagnosing a pump problem with my carpet cleaner. As other reviews say, start with the simple things and work your way up to the expensive ones. Check for clogged lines, clogged heater (if present), clogged air ducts, low water/detergent level, stuck mixer valve, etc. I tested my machine many times before realizing everything worked except the pump and units. sealed, I could not check anything in the pump.
