I bought these based on reviews here and on Wirecutter, they seem too good to be true. Well they are. Amazing ergonomics and decent noise cancellation are a big compromise at this price point. In this case frankly bad sound quality. Pros: The headphones fit completely in the ear, so they are super comfortable. The noise reduction feature works well, although it produces a surprising amount of audible high-frequency white noise. Cons: Unacceptably poor sound quality for the price. Actually, I would say "bad" and not "bad" since they are committing the sin of action and not mere omission. The highs were punchy and punchy, regardless of the EQ setting. I couldn't physically listen to them for very long and they were practically useless. They're either tuned for baby boomers who have lost most of their high-frequency hearing, or they're not tuned at all. That's really disappointing for Plantronics, as their (now discontinued) BackBeat Fit Bluetooth workout headphones were a lot more comfortable to listen to. I have no idea how a reviewer can compare this new model to a Bose product - the sound quality here isn't even close.
