I didn't like it for a week

I bought it for our parrot - I don't have any other sleeping bags for him. Wanted an open bottom so I didn't have to worry about poop. He didn't like it for about a week and then I took him to the highest point in his cage. He sleeps in it every night and it fits him perfectly. Not sure about the dimensions - 10 inches should be the total length of the toy from the hook to the tassels. Is it the perfect size for a parrot - maybe small parakeets?
