1200 grit = 150 grit Be careful with these stones if you have good knives
I have a 1200/300 combo, tried 1200 on a new knife I just made and it was closer to a 150 Scratches on my blade. a blade that was sharpened to 220 so I know it was better than what I know about diamond stones, but I do know that the 1000 grit on my Japanese wet stone I repaired it with did a lot was stuffy.
