Review on 🚗 Arkon Replacement Windshield Dashboard Suction Mounting Pedestal for Garmin nuvi 40 50 1450 1200 GPS - Upgrade or Additional by Alexander Roberson

My initial thoughts after purchase: I originally purchased this item about a year ago. I love it. Hard plastic, very strong! I love that it can be adjusted up and down so the GPS doesn't blind me and look my way. It's nice that I can place suction cups on the windshield and then flick the tab forward to latch, nice feature, I don't remember my original which makes it feel like it's latched. Update: This is about a year after purchase: Still a good solid product. My only complaint, and why I switched from a like to a like, is that I've noticed an issue with the suction cup from time to time. I usually keep the GPS holder in my car at all times, but take it off from time to time to use it in another car. The last few times I've done this I've had a hard time sticking to the windshield. I wonder if it has to do with the change in weather? I live in Louisiana so it's usually hot there, but it's been getting chilly lately. and we traveled a bit so I decided to take Arkon in the vehicle we traveled in. I've recently found that it doesn't want to stay on the windshield like it used to. I have to try several times. Maybe I should change the suction power over time? I do not know it. but it's a bit harder to get it to stick. Once I let it stick, it will stay. For this reason I keep it as I like it. Love it, just wish it worked the same way it did last year. But he still does his job. Maybe over time I'll buy another one here to replace what I have since it's so cheap.
