These are the classic multi-tooth pliers. I've been at this as long as I can remember and I'm not young. They are still high quality, made in the USA and still considered one of the best. I have had several brands of these types of tongs including several Craftsman versions and while some Craftsman tongs are very good they come and go because they are made by different manufacturers and are now difficult to find and the return process is a pain when not - now available. There are some good old American manufacturers, Klein is another top brand, but now they have serious competition. One company making serious progress is Tekton, I have several of their tools and they are very similar in design and quality at a much lower price. So far I am happy with the purchase of tools from the USA.
