FM and NOAA radio reception only

I don't know what to do. I can't hear anything on shortwave or amateur radio. But weather radio FM and NOAA are coming through. There are absolutely no instructions for the device. The supplied CD is for Windows only. The software links in the description download old windows software and you can get the latest software if you search for it. Works best on Mac with CubicSDR software download. But definitely only FM radio and NOAA weather radio. No shortwave or amateur radio bands. Disappointing.
