At the bottom of the product description section 3/4 further down the page it says "Add up to 400W max power (200W power per 2 channels)" which is significantly lower than "4 x 100W RMS into 4 ohms" - elsewhere specified the description. The lower rating is actually still overpriced for what you get. Everything you need to know about this amp can be found by looking at the fuse. that they used; "Fuse: 10A" Using a handy physics equation for electromagnetism, W = voltage x amps, we can determine at what output rating a 10A fuse will blow. With a battery voltage of 14V and a maximum fuse rating of 10A we can get 14x10 = 140W. Split this into 4 channels and you will see that this amplifier can deliver a MAXIMUM of 35 WATTS PER CHANNEL before the fuse blows. They say "buyers beware" but this amp is so over-specified that I think Revain should use the entire product. DO NOT BUY THIS AMPLIFIER if you are expecting 100W RMS x4 into 4 ohms Confirmed Purchase After I installed it, it does not work. I spent hours troubleshooting and then tried calling Pyle to see if they had an explanation. I waited 30 minutes to speak to someone and then hung up twice. The first indicator was a 10A fuse. I'm not an electrician but if I remember correctly amps x volts = watts so 12-14V x 10A = 120-140W. 400 not specified anywhere My suspicions were confirmed after a quick plug-in on my existing system. My Kenny HU is rated for 4x50 and I get significantly louder driving the speakers direct from the HU than using this amp to power the same speakers. Before anyone asks, yes I adjusted the input and output gain on the amp. I believe that this amp could make sense in connection with an mp3 player in order to be able to do without an HU altogether, but it is because of the crass in the description of its performance, confirmed by a significantly quieter sound compared to the amplifier. Dear internal amplifier, rated at half the advertised power of the amplifier, I give it one star and suggest that the advertisement be corrected to reflect the actual capabilities of the product. I realize that it would be nice if you advertised what it really is and I haven't noticed any unacceptable distortion even at maximum power from this amp. As for the waterproof 35x4 amp, it's great! But it is advertised as 100x4, which is nothing short of a gross misrepresentation and will result in significant disappointment to anyone who buys it. In fact, it's probably smart that Revain doesn't even allow it to be sold through their website. The product has approx. It worked for 15 minutes and then the fuses started blowing. And never worked again. The volume, when connected to my iPod and set halfway up, was a little more audible than just raising the headphones in the air. Buyer Warning. I only get twitter and bought it for a small app. Suck and plye sucks. The bad part of it all, update: they gave me an address to send it back for repair, and it was the wrong address. I spent another $10 on shipping. I called and they hung up right away because I refuse to spend another $10 shipping to a new address and asked for my money back. Then tried the reverse cheat, they waive the cost I will pay to ship it back to me after the repair. I don't say anywhere that I had to pay shipping both ways, it was totally unexpected. There are friends who bought the same speakers with a different 200w amp and blew them up. This amp is pathetic.
