They are pretty good at the moment. I have tips below but brief. I had a flood. an inch of water. I had plates in the milk crate. I couldn't reach her for a few days. Most jackets had to be taken offπ¬. But I was still able to save the recordings. I have bought inner sleeves, plastic outer sleeves and these jackets. They meet all requirements! Here are a few tips: 1. When the records are in the inner sleeve and you are ready to insert them into the sleeve, gently slide your hand inside the sleeve and slide your finger from one inner corner to the other. This will open it up a little and make it easier to insert the record.2. Do not insert a record so that the hole is up where the hole in the sleeve is. Seems it glides better. This should reduce the chance of the record slipping out when it's upside down. When putting on the jacket, do not open the opening of the jacket wide. It's slim-fitting, so slip into your jacket by unzipping it wide enough. My 70's and 80's records slide in a lot easier than the newer 180g records by the way, I guess they're a bit more durable than the old ones, thinner but harder to carry in a jacket.4. If what happened to me happens to you, be sure to wipe the inner ring labels with a cloth, dampened with a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and warm water. Maybe 3 or 4 waters to an isopropyl alcohol. Dab a washcloth in the bowl, rub a little over it and rub the label thoroughly. There is no need to soak it. Swipe back and forth across the entire label several times, e.g. how to wipe the skin with an alcohol swab before an injection. Some paint may come off, but you need to kill the mold. If the mold hasn't already eaten the tag, the tag should look like new. You may notice a change in the color of the fabric. You don't have to press hard. They should dry fairly quickly due to the alcohol. If the damage is greater than mine, the record itself could have mold in the grooves. It can also be cleaned, but that must be sought. Make sure you put them in plastic sleeves just in case.5. You might want to know where the respirator is when storing moldy records. I haven't done it yet, but I recommend it. π€ Good luck!
