WOW! I bought it because I needed an internet security solution for hotels and public wifi hotspots when traveling. This tiny, inexpensive device can connect to a hotel's Wi-Fi or Ethernet network and provide a secure Wi-Fi connection to multiple devices. It adds a layer of protection between public WiFi and your private devices by creating a separate network (not perfect, but better than nothing), but can also be configured as an OpenVPN client! This is perfect for me. I have a VPN server at home. This allows me to create a secure connection between all my devices on public WiFi and get an encrypted connection back to my house. The devices browse the internet from my home ISP and deny intruders at the hotel/public hotspot any opportunity to intercept data. Very happy with this product. I can't find a firewall in the GUI so I'm guessing there isn't, but everything else is perfect for all needs.
