Currently the best budget head collar option

Our previously unreactive/quiet dog decided for no reason that bikers and cars are things to chase while walking. We live in an urban area so avoiding them really isn't an option. Although we hoped to break this behavior, we bought some tension free belts and hats in hopes of speeding up the process. Loose straps didn't help at all, it actually made things worse as the leash led to more tangling at the front which just meant less control on our part. I wasn't comfortable with collars under the neck which can cause neck jerking, but the options for occiput lines other than just a stern line are pretty limited - Spur only, Newtrix (a Canadian product, so expensive and hard to find! ), and the. Spur was quite bulky and confusing to use. It's very simple - just set up and put on. More importantly, the few times we've used it, my dog didn't seem to mind. My dog learned fairly quickly to chase the behavior (for now) using treats as a distraction, but has kept it in our arsenal in case of a relapse! In a broader sense, the thinner collars commonly used are known to be more damaging to dogs' necks (and they can use them like a regular collar). I also wonder if dogs with less hair would benefit from a velvet food like the others. Despite this, this collar is really the best option at the moment.
