I bought these to keep my dog away from the cat food stored in the laundry room. I also used the second one in the pack for our bedroom to keep the family dog out of our bedroom at night so the cat could roam free. The one in our bedroom was ripped off when the dog squeezed through the hole. The sticky side of the product held up perfectly but came off the painted drywall. So it's not 100% effective. It depends on where it is attached and what is being pushed through.
