I pinched my previously injured finger trying a metal splint for the first time which hurt me while working and caused me a lot of pain. Thank God I found this tire! It has a soft, adjustable neoprene support strap that wraps comfortably around your hand without your finger dangling freely. It was so comfortable that leaving it overnight was not a problem. After more than a month of non-stop wear and washing once a week the only real wear and tear is a slight detachment of a small section of neoprene. Definitely a worthwhile purchase!
