the quality is not quite perfect but my son liked it despite the difficulty in understanding the instructions. Once together, it didn't work quite right; The key gear was deformed so we stuck it between two blocks of wood for 2 days and it helped. Although I would have preferred to work without this step, it was a good exercise in critical thinking and problem solving for my 14 year old. Not to mention he's collected about 6 of these things from different manufacturers and they always need some fine tuning.
