Updated Review - This is a great camera for the price and comes with a really solid base and a strong protective cover supplied the theft! It is very sharp at very high magnifications and takes very good pictures with good resolution. I just connected it to a computer with a USB cable. I downloaded the software from their website - it's easy to use and allows you to take pictures by clicking the icon in the app with your mouse. You can't focus the camera using the app, though - you have to raise and lower the camera on the support post to get closer to the subject, and then rotate the camera body like a binocular focus wheel to focus accurately. The body of the scope also has zoom buttons, a power button, and an LED light control wheel that you can't trigger with the app. They work well, I just would rather not touch the body of the scope all the time. A big problem I had was that the 2 screws that were supposed to attach to the camera to hold it in the base weren't long enough, but the seller will send you long screws if you already bought them - until the device is fixed in future packaging. The photos I've attached are the screws I installed and a few photos I took with the scope and its xploview software/app. - updated after a few days of use - this camera is very solid at the base and takes good pictures - although sometimes it automatically corrects the color which may be to do with my computer and not the camera as it isn't always the case. I am very happy with this purchase.
