I don't usually fall in love with kitchen gadgets. Frustrated with how ineffective my old notched kitchen spoon was and how I hated messing up my large strainer to drain a small amount, I discovered this scoop. Not too big; not too small; precisely. My only "warning" is that it's plastic, so it probably won't hold up to much abuse, especially in the "hot fat world". But for tasks on the stovetop that involve picking up pasta and veggies, for example, this is a winner. It also takes up much less space in the dishwasher. High functionality in a small package. Recommend!
