Works Well - but rusts soon after installing it

It works well for a patio fire. Smaller than I am used to, but okay. On the negative side, the cover rusts immediately after the first rain. I'll repaint it with Rustoleum "high heat" resistant product to prevent the heavy rust. - I know it's iron and iron rusts, but I expected a better protective finish, such as the Rustoleum product, which I've used numerous times in past decades with good results.

Pros

It was nice...the one time we used it. Gathering firewood is a pain.

Cons

The fire pit may not provide enough warmth for larger groups.
