Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced Performance Transmission Oil Pan & Filter Kit by URO Parts - Durable Aluminum Construction with Replaceable Filter by Bob Roberts

Check it carefully before installation!

Based on feedback from other reviewers, I thoroughly tested the pan I purchased before installing it. I found that the o-ring on mine must have been updated as its diameter was slightly larger than the original BMW. Later when it was installed it was fine. The attachment of the cover to the filter also differed from the photos presented on the network. They are upgraded to Torx built-in heads. This must have been done because some people have complained that the brackets stick out far enough to touch the solenoid packs. Big! I then removed the lid to see how the filtration worked. That's when I discovered the problems that must have caused the gearbox catastrophe. There were mold lines on the lid that were not removed. They broke very easily just by scratching them with your fingernails. See attached photos. They were located after the filter elements in the transmission oil flow. They end up in solenoids or in sensitive hydraulic channels and destroy the device. So I used buffer to erase them. I also cleaned the filter element as I could see a few tiny burrs already embedded in the filtered side of the paper (!). After assembly. It fits perfectly in my 6HP26 gearbox. For those (like me) who have never found information on how much liquid this pan holds: it admitted the exact same amount that I drained from the original plastic pan/filter.
