. Due to the distorted shape after swelling, the fuel gauge does not work. This is a fanless tank and will swell in the heat. Before using the tank for the first time, I replaced the non-vented cap with a vented one from the old tank. I have absolutely no problems with tank swelling and the fuel gauge works perfectly. Excuse the release of gases, but gas from ships' gas tanks must be released. Avoid swelling and damage to the container by replacing the lid with a vented one. Otherwise it's a good tank.
