Nice replacement case, about $8 total Not sure you could do better. I was keen to keep as many of the new components as possible, so I swapped the actual key and transponder chip into a new case, which ended up being a bit of work. Had to get the old key to the rocks and sandpaper to fit the new case as it was about .030" long and .010" thick to fit. The space for the transponder chip is also a bit loose, so be sure to use hot glue. If everything is done carefully, the result will be a beautiful keychain, without rattles and loose parts. The VW badge that comes with the suitcase is a solid 2/10, although I just threw it in the bin. UPDATE TWO WEEKS: The piece of metal on the bottom of the keychain has broken. You get what you pay for I guess🤷🏼‍♂️
