Working but very weird hard to understand

Well first of all as others have said the reference sheet that came with this product is so short it's almost illegible. This is not an instruction manual at all - it simply gives the characteristics of the device. A big misunderstanding I had was that SSR in the product name (TA4-SSR) stands for Solid State Relay. nope In a confusing way, this means that output 1 is "S" (which stands for SSR, like a solid state relay), alarm 2 is "S" (like output 1), but alarm 1 is "R" (relay). ). So "C", "C" and "R". What does that mean? This means that Output 1 and Alarm 2 will have a voltage controlled by the PID logic, but Alarm 1 will either be on or off at 30 VDC depending on whether the alarm condition is triggered. Device that can be SRR, RSS, whatever combination the manufacturer chooses for production. So if you want it to control a relay that accepts 30VDC input you can connect it to the Alarm 1 (5- and 6+) terminals. I finally did. I use it to control my homemade proofer cooling system. Another major issue with this device is that the temperature readings will shift up when it gets hot. I installed it on top of the transducer (I know it's not smart) which got quite hot and soon the device read 10-12 degrees Celsius above the thermocouple (I use a type K thermocouple and another independent thermometer ). for confirmation). When I removed the instrument from the heat source, it quickly read back to within 2 degrees of the test thermometer. Then I put a small fan on it just to see and the reading dropped to 3 degrees Celsius below the reference! Therefore, the temperature of the device itself is VERY important. Make sure it's stable, then use the PVF setting to adjust it to the actual temperature). I searched the internet for someone who had figured out how to use this device but unfortunately no luck to date which meant I had to take the time to figure it out myself. Hope that helps.
