Review on Sangean PS-300 Pillow Speaker: Enhanced Audio Experience with In-line Volume Control and Amplifier (White) by Robert Dabney

Very good for the price. I suspect the people rating this as one were expecting a quality $15 Bose speaker. I found this speaker to have fairly good sound quality and more than enough volume when used with an MP3 player playing at near maximum volume, with the final output being controlled by the device itself. I use a memory foam pillow about 4 cm thick and place the device directly under the pillow, turn the volume up to about half and have no hearing problems. I was surprised by the speaker's diameter, I was expecting a smaller size which probably gives it a decent sound. Quality It was a replacement for the pillow that was built into the pillow I paid more than double for and it's really a big disappointment. It was a terrible cushion initially as the speaker was small and very thin, it depended on batteries which were sometimes replaced twice a week.The control unit was cheap and very unreliable so that makes me very happy.the new unit.On time arrived, very well packaged
