I've been using these VHS tapes for years. Unfortunately, the price of these has skyrocketed as they have largely been replaced by DVDs. However, I still use them to record TV shows and movies. They're pretty durable. I tend to exaggerate a lot, but within reason as the video quality can drop after a while. I have to be honest about that. However, they do their job. Right now I have a whole box of these, all used. I would estimate the number between 30-40 bands that are still working. I am constantly on the lookout for this type, the 8 hour Sony as they appear to be the highest quality VHS tapes you can find and I can fit up to 4 or more full movies on them depending on length record tapes. I have no intention of getting rid of them. I think eventually I'll have no choice but to move with the times, but for now they still come in handy for me and the video quality is pretty good considering they're VHS tapes.
