I replaced the original insert that came with my shoe with this one and promptly tossed the old one away. Great way to refresh a pair of shoes that may be a bit past "broken in". I noticed some improved shock absorption under my heel and the ball of my foot immediately.The insert was easy to trim down to size, so consider buying slightly larger sizes and trimming to fit.
