We ordered this for our north cabin which is amidst 60 to 80 feet of trees and miles from town. Upon opening the box we found that the remote made a baby rattle sound and we assumed rotating the antenna wouldn't work. Otherwise everything was fine and we decided to proceed with the installation. We installed it on an existing 25 foot pole and ran the cable to the TV in the living room. I connected the rotor and, using the built-in switch on the rotor unit, aligned the antenna to the transmitter stations closest to us. After scanning the channels, 6 channels were found. A little rotation tweak and now we get 10 channels! It might not seem like a lot, but everyone here has a satellite or dish and we didn't want to pay a huge bill for an in-cabin TV. This works great and includes local channels, FOX and CNBC. Tried the remote and as expected it broke which wasn't a big deal as we can still turn the antenna with the switch on the rotor box.
